Importance of Handicraft

How do handicrafts promote the way of life or culture of a place?

> How? It's hard to answer but for me, handicraft promotes the way of life or the tradition and culture of that certain place or region. It promotes the natural resources of that place and the materials that are used in the handicraft. It can also be the reason for the tourist or the people to remember that place.

·       In what ways do entrepreneurship or the entrepreneurs help preserve culture and traditions?

     > In what way? The entrepreneurs can promote the product and can also preserve culture and tradition by promoting the products in the foreign and local customers. This will also be an eye opener to everyone in such that culture and tradition exist in that certain place.

In what ways do handicraft industries help the entrepreneurs, artisans and the country as a whole?
    > First, handicraft industries can first help the artisan by offering them a job which is making the handicraft. When the products are done, the entrepreneurs can then purchase it so that they can sell it on local stores or maybe they can export it. In an overall outcome of it, they can also help promote the countries tourism and they can also help in the economy. They attract tourist that will purchase their product which will add to our countries money or they have to pay tax or the vat in each product. They are benefiting from each other in a manner that it's in a good way.

·       Are there handicrafts that are not suited for boys? Or for girls? What are the reasons and instances behind this perception? Is this kind of thinking productive?

    > There is no handicraft that is not suited for boys and girls. Everyone is welcome to do any handicraft as long as they have the patience, determination and skills in doing so. This perception is an old point of view because in this generation, everyone is equal. Whatever a man can do, women can do it also. This kind of perception will not help our country from being productive.
